Strengthening lettings in Norwich
We are proud and excited to announce that MPJ Property Solutions Ltd have merged their letting business with Pymm & Co Estate Agents in Norwich, to trade under the single banner of Pymm & Co. In this ever-changing world where the government keeps moving the goalposts for both landlords, tenants and agents, it has been increasingly difficult for small businesses to remain competitive.
The new tenant fee ban, which is passing through parliament as we speak will radically reduce the income available to letting agents and many smaller letting agents may not be able to weather the storm, however by merging our two great local businesses, we will be able to not only weather this particular storm but will help us to be a stronger, more cohesive business in the future.
Change is coming
Suffice to say that serious changes are being forced on the lettings industry over the coming months for landlords, tenants and agents and this could undoubtedly push up rents and fees in the future. This will increase the compliance requirements put upon landlords and agents but by joining forces it is hoped that the impact of these changes can be minimised as much as possible.
That the last few years have seen the greatest changes that have affected landlords; the changes to the taxation of interest relief, the new requirements for EPC’S and Legionnaires disease checks to name just a few and the new tenant fee ban soon to be implemented, not to mention the other new ideas the government has for the future. Much like MPJ, we care about our landlords and tenants and hold an ethical approach to running our business, to help us continue through these changes that are fast approaching or already taking place.
A new dawn for Pymm & Co Lettings
Since the 1st of October our Property Management team has grown in number with the welcomed addition of Julie, Marcel and Raquel to our property management team and we couldn’t be happier. A month on and we can certainly say we are one big happy family and as a team are working harder than ever to make sure that all our landlords and tenants are happy and cared for.
